I. Logistics Support (LS)
Summary:
Logistics Support helps coordinate the load activities by talking with carriers,
customers, suppliers and vendors, ensuring that loads are picked up and delivered
on time.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Handle very high telephone call volume in a courteous, efficient manner
- Schedule and verify loading and unloading appointments with shippers and receivers
- Work with carrier partners to monitor loading and unloading.
- Identify and solve existing and potential problems. Involve supervisor,
and contact account executive when needed
- Locate approved carriers to cover customer loads
Required:
- Strong work ethic, energetic, fast learner
- Ability to simultaneously operate multiple phones lines and to communicate effectively
- Ability to work efficiently with a customer friendly attitude
- Accurate typing skills (25 wpm minimum)
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to work weekend shifts and holiday shifts as assigned.
- Ability to stay focused in an extremely active / open office environment
Preferred:
- College Degree
- Transportation industry experience
- Call center and / or customer service experience
