LDI Ranked 12th Fastest Growing Logistics Provider by Inc. Magazine

Inc. Magazine has ranked Logistic Dynamics No. 613 in its 28th annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing, privately-held companies. Logistic Dynamics, Inc. (LDI), a Buffalo, NY based third party logistics provider, posted an impressive 445.6 percent growth, earning the position of the 12th fastest-growing Logistics company in the U.S. This year marks the second time Logistic Dynamics has been honored by Inc. Magazine in its annual Inc. 500|5000.

“I want to thank all of our people for their hard work and commitment to excellence. Our continued growth is a true testament to their dedication and the confidence our customers have in us. I would also like to thank Inc. Magazine for recognizing the fact that it is small businesses, like most of the Inc. 5000 list, that drive our economy,” said Logistic Dynamics CEO Dennis Brown. “LDI’s freight broker agent program is based upon small business growth and being an entrepreneur. Our agents are experienced transportation professionals who partner with LDI so they can own their own business and work independently but with support of a larger company behind them.”

The 2009 Inc. 500|5000 boasted that this year’s list is their biggest yet by a number of measures. Total revenue tops $214 billion, up 16 percent from last year. Median annual revenue has crept up to over $10 million, and for the first time the list’s total employment count exceeds one million. But growth has slowed considerably. The median growth rate is down to 126 percent from last year’s 147 percent.

The Inc. 500|5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2005 through 2008. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by the first week of 2005, and therefore able to show four full calendar years of sales. Additionally, they have to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent as of December 31, 2008. Revenue in 2005 must have been at least $200,000, and revenue in 2008 must have been at least $2 million.
