Logistic Dynamics, Inc. (LDi) a Buffalo, New York, based third party logistics provider announced today that it has submitted and had approved their 2014 data update with the SmartWay Transport Partnership, an innovative collaboration between U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and industry. The SmartWay Transport Partnership provides a framework to assess the environmental and energy efficiency of goods movement supply chains.

“We are very proud to once again be an approved SmartWay Transport Partner,” stated LDi Vice President of Operations, Evan Gaskill. “LDi will continue to be fully committed to the SmartWay program by being responsible in how we manage our carrier network and choosing carriers that have demonstrated a marked reduction in carbon dioxide emissions and other air pollutants. As a SmartWay Partner, LDi has the opportunity to extend our diligent efforts to minimize our own environmental impact while delivering world-class transportation and logistics services”.

LDi will continue to contribute to the Partnership’s savings of 144.3 million barrels of oil, $20.6 billion in fuel costs, 61.7 MMT of carbon dioxide (CO2), 1,070,000 tons of nitrogen oxides and 43,000 tons of particulate matter. This equals taking 10 million cars of the road. Carbon dioxide is the most common greenhouse gas, and nitrogen oxide is an air pollutant that contributes to smog. By joining SmartWay Transport Partnership, Logistic Dynamics demonstrates its strong environmental leadership and corporate responsibility.
